Gear Hub

Gear is the backbone of Dig & Clean on Roblox. Three tool lines — detectors, shovels, and spray bottles — define how fast you find buried treasure, how hard you can dig, and how quickly you restore condition before selling or displaying pieces in your museum. Every item in this database is sold at the Gear Shop plaza in the center of the map. Stock is unlimited, prices are fixed in gold, and there is no player trading for core tools.

This hub links to full stat tables for each gear family. Use them alongside the Gear Upgrade Path guide when planning purchases, and pair big sessions with luck codes from the Codes page so detector upgrades pay off immediately.

The three gear types

Detectors raise Luck, a multiplier that controls how often the ground highlights a treasure ping and skews rolls toward higher rarities. Without a better detector, even perfect shovel timing wastes time on common-only zones.

Shovels raise Power, the stat required to break hard nodes and deep chests before a glow despawns. Under-powered shovels are the number-one reason players lose legendary pings to other diggers.

Spray bottles raise cleaning Power and range at the workbench. They matter for throughput — faster cleaning means more digs per hour — but they should generally be upgraded after your detector and shovel reach meaningful tiers.

Where to buy gear

Walk to the Gear Shop at map center after the tutorial. Each tool category has its own display row. Interact with the item, confirm the gold price in the popup, and equip from your inventory hotbar. Upgrades are permanent for your account; there is no durability loss on tools.

If you are saving for a big tier jump, check the Gear Upgrade Planner tool to see how many commons you still need to sell before affording Platinum-tier gear.

  1. Detector — buy Luck tiers first (Rusty → Copper → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum).
  2. Shovel — invest Power once your detector can reliably find rare glows (Plastic → Wood → Stone → Metal → Gold → Amethyst).
  3. Spray bottle — upgrade cleaning last unless you are bottlenecked at the workbench during AFK sessions.

Redeem UPDATE1 or SECRET10 from Codes during active digging, not while standing in the shop menu. Luck multipliers stack with detector tier stats.

Full stat tables

Each child page lists every tier with gold cost and primary stat. Bookmark the table you need:

  • All Detectors — Luck multipliers from Rusty (free, ×1) through Platinum (190,000 gold, ×12)
  • All Shovels — Power values from Plastic (free, 1) through Amethyst (190,000 gold, 9)
  • All Spray Bottles — Cleaning power from Basic (free) through Turquoise (400,000 gold)

How gear interacts with rarity glows

Dig & Clean uses six treasure rarities, each with a distinct ground glow color. Detectors do not change the color you see — they change how frequently those colors spawn. Shovels determine whether you can finish the dig in time. Spray bottles determine how quickly condition recovers before you run to the museum or polishing station.

Mid-game players often overspend on spray bottles because cleaning feels slow. In most cases, a single shovel tier unlocks more rare sales per hour than two spray tiers. Read Money and Museum for when polishing is worth the extra stop.

Gear and island progression

Higher islands such as Shipwreck Cove spawn tougher nodes and better loot tables. The Getting Started guide explains island unlocks via the Island NPC. Bring detector and shovel tiers that match the zone — beach starter gear will fail on cove legendaries.

When Update 1 launched in August 2026, the full gear ladder through Platinum, Amethyst, and Turquoise was live on day one. Future patches may add tiers; we update these tables after every Update note.

Start with the detector table if you are unsure where to spend your next thousand gold. Luck compounds every other stat investment in Dig & Clean.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Dig & Clean questions.

Where do I buy gear in Dig & Clean?

All detectors, shovels, and spray bottles are sold at the Gear Shop in the center of the map. Interact with the display item and pay gold in the buy popup.

Which gear should I upgrade first?

Upgrade your detector first for Luck, then your shovel for Power, and spray bottles last. See Gear Upgrade Path for tier breakpoints.

Do gear upgrades stack with promo codes?

Yes. Luck codes from the Codes page multiply on top of your detector tier. Redeem codes during active digging sessions.

Is there a full list of every gear tier?

Yes. All Detectors, All Shovels, and All Spray Bottles pages list every tier with gold cost and primary stats.

Can I trade gear with other players?

Core tools are account-bound purchases from the Gear Shop. Progress comes from gold earned by cleaning and selling treasures.

How much gold does max gear cost?

Platinum Detector, Amethyst Shovel, and Turquoise Spray Bottle are the current top tiers. Add the three max prices from each stat table for a full endgame budget.
