Dig & Clean Roblox Update 1 — Codes and Features

August 2026 patch notes for Dig & Clean on Roblox.

Last updated:

Update 1 for Dig & Clean on Roblox shipped in August 2026 as the game’s first major post-launch patch. The headline feature is a permanent codes system inside the Shop — players can redeem promo strings for timed Luck multipliers that stack with detector gear. Two launch codes went live the same day: UPDATE1 and SECRET10. The update did not replace the core detect → dig → clean → sell loop; it added acceleration for players who finish the tutorial and invest in gear.

This note summarizes every player-facing change, what stayed the same, and where to read deeper guides on the wiki.

New content: Omega rarity

Update 1 added Omega as the seventh treasure tier — above Mythical with dark-red detector glows. Examples players report include Crystal Skull and Sapphire Skull. Omega items follow the same detect → dig → clean → polish loop but need stacked Luck on Sphinx Sands (4× island Luck) and Aquamarine gear from the Sphinx Gear Shop. Full farming routes live on the Omega Items guide.

New island: Sphinx Sands

Sphinx Sands joins the travel menu after Shipwreck Cove. Unlock through the Islands NPC for a large Gold fee (community reports ~2,500,000 Gold — confirm live). The island grants 4× island Luck, denser Epic+ spawns, and an exclusive Aquamarine Gear Shop selling endgame detector (×850 Luck), shovel (160 Power), and pressure washer tiers.

Museum second floor

Update 1 expanded the museum with a second floor and eight additional display pedestals for trophy pieces — ideal for polished Omega and Mythical finds. See Money and Museum for sell versus display math.

New feature: Shop Codes tab

After completing the tutorial sequence — first detect, first dig, first clean, first sale — the Shop at map center unlocks a Codes tab. Previously, luck boosts were only available through gear. Update 1 adds limited-time multipliers redeemable without Robux.

Redemption steps:

  1. Finish the tutorial if the Codes tab is greyed out.
  2. Open Shop near the Gear Shop plaza.
  3. Select Codes.
  4. Type the promo string exactly — codes are case-sensitive.
  5. Press Redeem and confirm the buff icon on your HUD.

Full redemption detail and troubleshooting live on the Codes page.

Launch promo codes

CodeRewardDurationStatus
UPDATE12× Luck multiplier30 minutesActive at Update 1 launch
SECRET1010× Luck multiplier10 minutesActive at Update 1 launch

UPDATE1 is the everyday code — thirty minutes is enough for a structured grinding session funding Copper or Bronze detector tiers. SECRET10 is a short burst for legendary hunts; use it on island zones with Metal Shovel or better, not on starter beach commons.

Luck from codes stacks with detector tier Luck from the All Detectors table. Redeem UPDATE1 after buying Copper Detector so the multiplier applies to ×2 base Luck, not starter ×1.

What Update 1 did not change

  • Gear Shop location and unlimited stock on Starter Island
  • Upgrade priority: detector → shovel → spray bottle per Gear Upgrade Path
  • Core tutorial flow documented in Getting Started
  • Starter-hub gear ladder through Platinum, Amethyst, and Turquoise

What did change: rarity count is now seven tiers (Omega added), Sphinx Sands travel, Aquamarine gear, museum second floor, and the Codes tab.

Gear ladder confirmed live

Update 1 confirmed the full launch gear ladder with no price rollback:

Detectors: Rusty (free, ×1) → Copper (500, ×2) → Bronze (1,600, ×3) → Silver (9,000, ×5) → Gold (45,000, ×8) → Platinum (190,000, ×12)

Shovels: Plastic (free, 1) → Wood (500, 2) → Stone (1,600, 3) → Metal (9,000, 5) → Gold (45,000, 7) → Amethyst (190,000, 9)

Spray bottles: Basic (free) → Rubber (900) → Plastic (5,500) → Copper (26,000) → Steel (100,000) → Gold (220,000) → Turquoise (400,000)

Sphinx Sands Aquamarine line: Aquamarine Detector (92M, ×850 Luck) → Aquamarine Shovel (145M, 160 Power) → Aquamarine Pressure Washer (125M, 625 Power)

See Gear Hub for linked stat tables and Omega Items for Aquamarine purchase order.

Balance and quality-of-life notes

Developers positioned codes as session boosters, not permanent power. No code grants lasting Luck; timers run in real time including menu idle. This prevents AFK code hoarding and keeps detector upgrades economically relevant.

Mobile, tablet, PC, and console support mentioned on the official Roblox page remained unchanged. Controls reference: Controls.

Known issues at launch

Some new accounts reported the Codes tab staying locked until one additional museum sale after tutorial completion. If redemption fails, sell one cleaned treasure and re-open Shop.

Expired codes return a generic failure message with no distinction from typos — double-check case and confirm the code still appears on Codes.

Post-update checklist

  1. Redeem UPDATE1 during an active dig session.
  2. Buy Copper Detector and Wood Shovel if not already owned.
  3. Read Codes for stacking rules and expiry tracking.
  4. Plan SECRET10 for island or edge-map legendary windows.
  5. Bookmark Updates Hub for Update 2 announcements.

Looking ahead

Future updates will likely add new codes, gear tiers, or islands. When Update 2 ships, expect a fresh launch code pattern similar to UPDATE1 and revised notes on this hub. Script hubs on Scripts may require executor updates after Roblox patches — verify loadstrings locally before farming.

Update 1 made Dig & Clean faster for engaged players without paywalling Luck behind Robux. Redeem codes, upgrade detectors, and treat SECRET10 like a ten-minute legendary lottery ticket — not a menu screensaver.
