Dig & Clean Roblox Islands and Locations Guide
Travel routes, unlock costs, and where to dig once you leave the beach.
Dig & Clean is not a single beach—you unlock islands as your Gold income grows, and each region ships better treasure signals, tougher dig nodes, and sometimes unique gear shop stock. Treat island travel as a progression gate: the starter zone teaches cleaning and selling, while destinations like Shipwreck Cove reward players who saved for detectors and shovels first.
New players should read the Getting Started guide before spending travel fees. Once you understand cleaning and selling, use this page alongside the rare treasures guide so you know which glow colors are worth the boat ride.
How island travel works
Look for the Islands NPC near the boat on your current island—the label above the character reads Islands. Interact to open the travel menu, pay the Gold entry fee, and load into the destination. Travel is not free, so round-trip farming should earn more than the ticket cost; otherwise stay home and upgrade Luck first.
Dig spots on every island are procedurally placed, not fixed map pins. That means there is no permanent cheat sheet of coordinates—instead, learn each island’s density, rarity bias, and dig difficulty, then sweep with a high-Range detector. Bookmark mentally where Legendary nodes rejected your shovel so you can return after buying more Power.
Starter Island (home base)
Every account begins here. The Gear Shop in the center sells all shovels, detectors, and spray bottles with unlimited stock. Starter sand is dominated by Common and Uncommon glows, which is perfect for learning the loop: detect, dig, clean, sell or display.
Do not quit the starter island too early. Farm until you can afford at least a Silver or Gold detector and a Metal or Gold shovel—Shipwreck Cove punishes under-geared digs. The starter zone also hosts your museum base, cleaning station, sell NPC, and early polishing bench, so you will return constantly even after unlocking travel.
Shipwreck Cove
Shipwreck Cove is the first major upgrade destination most players chase. Entry costs a large Gold fee compared with starter travel, but the island returns stronger signals—more Rare, Epic, and occasional Legendary glows—and harder dig nodes that require mid-tier Power.
The pirate-themed terrain is wide enough that detector Range matters. Sweep beaches, wreckage, and cove edges systematically rather than random shovel spam. Pair Shipwreck Cove runs with a detector that has at least x5 Luck (Silver minimum; Gold strongly recommended) and a shovel at 5+ Power so Epic nodes do not waste your session.
Because fees eat profit, batch your trips: arrive with full inventory space, farm until weight limits or boredom, clean at base, then decide sell vs polish. See the polishing station guide if you are hauling Epic items back—condition upgrades multiply island loot value.
Sphinx Sands and later regions
Sphinx Sands sits further along the island chain and expects endgame gear. Unlock costs roughly 2,500,000 Gold through the Islands NPC (confirm live). The island grants 4× island Luck, skews toward Epic, Legendary, Mythical, and Omega tiers, and hosts the Aquamarine Gear Shop — exclusive detector (×850 Luck, 92M Gold), shovel (160 Power, 145M), and pressure washer (625 Power, 125M).
Players without Aquamarine or at least Platinum Detector + Amethyst Shovel often see premium spots they cannot extract—mark those locations and return later rather than burning tickets for nothing. Read the dedicated Omega Items guide before farming dark-red glows here.
Later islands also justify max spray tiers if you are processing huge hauls, but remember detectors still come first—there is no point fast-cleaning junk you should never have dug.
Location tips that apply on every island
Color equals rarity. Gray-white Commons near tents; greens and blues mid-tier; purple Epic; gold Legendary; Mythical uses the flashiest glow; Omega shows dark red (Update 1). If you forgot the order, open the treasure rarity tier list.
Gear gates content. A Legendary ping with insufficient Power is a future quest, not a bug. Upgrade via the best gear tier list and come back.
Explore before judging an island. Because spawns rotate, two Shipwreck Cove sessions can feel different—give each trip fifteen minutes of structured scanning before switching islands.
Fund travel with display income. Passive museum Gold pays tickets faster than one-off Common sales. Keep your best Rare-plus pieces polished on display while you farm travel cash.
Suggested unlock order
- Starter Island — afford Copper/Silver detector and Stone/Metal shovel.
- Shipwreck Cove — first Rare/Epic farming hub; save entry fee plus repair budget.
- Sphinx Sands — chase Legendary/Mythical/Omega after Aquamarine Luck on 4× island bonus.
Adjust if updates rebalance fees, but the pattern stays the same: never pay travel you cannot earn back in one good Epic sell.
Combining islands with other systems
Island hopping without cleaning is wasted time—always process loot at base. Codes from the codes page may boost Luck during a Cove marathon. When inventory fills with high-tier items, prioritize polishing before your next ticket purchase so one Legendary sale funds multiple returns.
Islands are the game’s difficulty ramp. Master starter beaches, invest in Luck, then treat Shipwreck Cove and Sphinx Sands as scheduled appointments—not day-one tourism—and your location strategy will match the rarest treasures Dig & Clean offers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Dig & Clean questions.
How do I travel to another island in Dig & Clean?
Find the Islands NPC near the boat, open the travel menu, and pay the Gold entry fee for your chosen destination such as Shipwreck Cove.
Is Shipwreck Cove worth the travel cost?
Yes, once you have mid-tier detector Luck and shovel Power. Cove signals skew Rare and Epic, which usually repay the ticket in one or two strong finds.
Are dig spots fixed on a map?
No. Treasure locations spawn dynamically each session. Learn island rarity bias and sweep with a high-Range detector instead of memorizing coordinates.
What gear do I need before leaving the starter island?
Aim for at least Silver or Gold detector Luck and a Metal or Gold shovel before paying for Shipwreck Cove so you can break Epic nodes.
Which island has the best Mythical treasure rates?
Later unlocks like Sphinx Sands bias toward top rarities. Mythical remains rare everywhere—you still need Platinum Luck and Amethyst Power.
